HIGHAM LANE NORTH ACADEMY – NUNEATON 

MONDAY 2ND MARCH 2026 9.00 AM – 12.30 PM 

YEAR 7  – COFFEE SHOP ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE EVENT

Coffee Shop Challenge for Year 7 students. This day is a great opportunity to help highlight various working areas in the working world. It will show case the hospitality industry along with marketing, team work, HR, Design, negotiation, finance etc  We discuss what is new in the market and what the customers demands are now when visiting coffee shops . After various research we ask the students to get into their teams and then they have to design their own coffee shop. They first have to make plans on a small scale just with pencil. After that the fun begins with colours, paints, tissue paper, magazines, felt pens  etc. It’s a really great day and the students learn so much. They will be looking at marketing, team work, communication skills, sales, sponsorship etc.  We welcome the support from the business industry, not just coffee shops, come along and help support the students, you don’t have to be coffee experts. We believe that the students will also learn a lot from business input as well. It is a fun day and enjoyed by all. Tea and Coffee, cakes, Danishes, savouries will be made available throughout the day.

KIMBERLEY COLLEGE – BEDFORDSHIRE – 

THURSDAY 5TH MARCH 2026 10.00 AM – 12.30 PM 

YEAR 13  – EMPLOYABILITY EVENT

Kimberley College welcome you to come in and join them in supporting their Year 13 students with their mock interview session. We are holding this even to support the Year 13 as they start commencing college/apprenticeship/university/employment interviews and to give them advice and support on how they prepare and conduct themselves at interview. You will work with a group of 4-6 students where they will still have 1-1 interview with you whilst the others observe and then they will swap round so they all have a turn at being interviewed. A generic job spec will be given to you beforehand to help give structure to the interview and I also have a list on typical interview questions that can also be used. We would very much welcome all your input with the interviews and for you to share your experiences and any odd questions that may have been asked of you at any interview you attended. We will also welcome support with the delivery of CV sessions for the students. You will work around the  small groups of around 5 studnets supporting students whilst they structure their own CV’s. We will of course provide plenty of refreshments including tea, coffee, danishes ,savouries and cakes.  

 

OAKGROVE SCHOOL – MILTON KEYNES

Friday 6TH MARCH 2026 09.30AM – 13.00PM 

YEAR 7, 8 & 10 SPEED INTERVIEWING EVENT 

Oakgrove School welcomes you to join them in supporting their Year 7, 8 & 10 students with this fun but vital event of speed interviewing. The students will move from one business volunteer to another business volunteer and spend 5/8 minutes interviewing YOU!! Yes, they will be asking you questions about your job, how you got to where you are, the highs and lows of your job!   This will give the students an insight into how many different job roles are out there in the world of work. Its quick fun fast paced but the students learn so much from these events. There will be Danishes Tea and Coffee served throughout the morning.   

 

STEPHENSON ACADEMY – MILTON KEYNES

WEDNESDAY 11TH MARCH 2026 09.00AM – 12.00PM 

Year 10 SPEED INTERVIEWING EVENT  

Stephenson Academy welcomes you to join them in supporting their Year 10 students with this fun but vital event of speed interviewing. The students will move from one business volunteer to another business volunteer and spend 5/8 minutes interviewing YOU!! Yes, they will be asking you questions about your job, how you got to where you are, the highs and lows of your job!   This will give the students an insight into how many different job roles are out there in the world of work. Its quick fun fast paced but the students learn so much from these events. There will be Danishes Tea and Coffee served throughout the morning.

After various research we ask the students to get into their teams and then they have to design their own hotels (Fawlty Towers). They first have to make plans on a small scale just with pencil. After that the fun begins with colours, paints, tissue paper, magazines, felt pens  etc. It’s a really great day and the students learn so much. They will be looking at marketing, team work, communication skills, sales, sponsorship etc.  We welcome the support from the business industry, not just hotels,  to come along and help support the students, you don’t have to be hotel experts. We believe that the students will also learn a lot from business input as well. It is a fun day and enjoyed by all. MILTON KEYNES ACADEMY – MILTON KEYNES

THURSDAY 4TH DECEMBER 2025 10.00AM – 12.00PM 

YEAR 10 – EMPLOYERBILITY EVENT

Milton Keynes Academy welcomes you to join them in supporting their Year 10 students with their CV & Mock interview session. We are holding this even to support the Year 10 as they start commencing college/apprenticeship/university/employment interviews and to give them advice and support on how they prepare and conduct themselves at interview. In the first session we will deliver a CV presentation and then we ask our volunteers to work around the groups offering help, advice and guidance with their CV’S. We will be working in the hall so everyone will be together. For the mock interviews you will work with a group of 4-6 students where they will still have 1-1 interview with you whilst the others observe and then they will swap round so they all have a turn at being interviewed. NORTHAMPTON SCHOOL – NORTHAMPTON 

WEDNESDAY 22ND APRIL 2026 1.00PM – 4.30PM YEAR .9, 10, 11 ‘BEYOND NORTHAMPTON SCHOOL FAIR’ - Businesses, Apprenticeships, Management Trainee Programmes, Universities and Colleges 

Northampton School Years 9 - 11 would like to invite you along to help support them in highlighting various careers and progression routes the students can take either if they go straight to work after education or if they go to University. We would welcome businesses from all areas, businesses and training providers that offer apprenticeships schemes and companies that have management trainee schemes. We also would welcome all colleges and Universities to also support this event. We would like you to come along and hold a stand where we will have all students and their parents visiting you throughout the afternoon/evening to ask questions about your business and talk to you about their best options. We would like you to bring any information you use for recruiting and help us support our students for their next steps. tea, coffee and biscuits/cake, danishes and savouries will be provided.
